Installation of a VAC Motorsports Baffle kit to a BMW e92 m3 Sump. The Sump was fully cleaned and jigged to limit any distortion that might occur during welding. The Sump was preheated to aid the fusion of the older cast sump to the new aluminium. The Sump was allowed to fully cool before being removed from the jig and thoroughly cleaned to remove and residing debris.

Penetration test was recommend to check the structure around the mounting points of the Housing. Other than the obvious cracks, secondary fractures were found. All defects were fully prepped, welded and then machined back to original tolerances.
